EVCC Hanging Tough in Nebraska ROY Series

Nebraska Rider of the Year (ROY) standings after State TT posted and Elkhorn Valley Cycling powered by Monster has several riders holding fast in the top 10!

Currently Joe Savoie sits in second overall in Men’s 3, and is first in the 40+ age division. Devin Bethune holds the number six spot.

In Women’s 3, Janna Vavra sits atop the leader board with nearly double the points as the second place rider.

Men’s category 4 is again a hotly contested fight between the top four riders with only 9 points separating first and fourth. EVCC has two riders in the thick of this battle: John Spray sits at second over Dan Spray by only two points. Duane Blair is fifth overall but is leading the 40+ age group. Kevin Murray is 15th overall and fourth in the 40+ age division.

The ROY series is sponsored by the Nebraska Cycling Association which is the local association of USA Cycling. The series promotes participation throughout the year in ROY approved events. By encouraging promoters to create events using the ROY standards, riders are guaranteed consistent formats, classes, and prizes.
