More New Members

Elkhorn Valley Cycling Club continues to grow and prosper, adding new members on a regular basis. Interest in recreational cycling is high and our Omaha base of operation, spearheaded by Joe Savoie, is getting a firm hold on the Omaha scene.

Recent new membes from Omaha include Brian Tangen, Craig Harding, Dan Ertz, and Nick Zeimet.

When welcoming these members, I asked them for a brief idea of what their expectaions were of themselves and the club. Here are a couple responses:

Craig Harding:

I am a Cat 5 racer.  I want to become more race ready this year.  I ride with Joe and Rich and other on Monday nights in Omaha.  I plan on doing many of the Nebraska races this year.  I want to look for a few races in Kansas or Iowa also.  I am interested in learning more about team tactics and trying to increase my performance.

Dan Ertz:

I plan on trying to do at least one road race or mtb race per month, schedule and training time permitting of course.  I am planning to try the crit this weekend.  I will probably be better at the road races than the mtb, since I don't have a good mountain bike or much experience.  I probaby need to start going on some group rides.

I have had the pleasure of riding with both Nick and Brian recently and can attest to how strong of riders they are. Brian will be riding in EVCC colors while the remainder will be in TBW kit for this year.

Welcome!
