Lately Jon Downey has been putting me out there as the team coach and to be honest I like the sounds of it. I am willing to share my five years of knowledge of cycling, racing, and training.
If you would like my humble advice on fitness, racing, dieting, or general training questions, shoot me an email. My knowledge of training is primarily based on "The Training Bible" by Joe Friel and my 5+ years of races.
If you want assistance with building a training plan, there are some basic things you and I need to know. With these questions in hand I can cobble together a sensible training plan.
1) What are your Race/Fitness goals? These goals should be specific. What do you want to get out of your riding? Try to provide at least three goals.
1a) What race are you training for?
2) How many free hours in a week do you have to ride?
3) Do you have a heart rate monitor?
4) Are you a member of a gym?
