Rich Anderson Crash at Auburn RR

Rich Anderson competed in the Auburn Road Race with Kevin Murray and was involved in a nasty crash. Here is his account and some photos:

Started off kinda of poor, about 2/3 in the field made my way up we go past the feed zone (approx 10 miles into the race) about 500 meters past the feed zone we are in single file and I am about mid pack.  A rider clips his front wheel goes down, and me along with about 3 other riders go down.  Nothing I can do and I hit a rider and someones bike, next thing I know I am on the ground and I remember seeing a wheel go by on my way down.  I get up after being pinned by a bike and notice that it was my wheel that went by and then I notice my fork had snapped.  Race is over, one of the riders was really piseed and throwing his bike.  Of the 4 people that went down 1 was able to continue.  One broke his rear derailleur, one broke his pedal, and me broke fork.  The forth rider got a flat and he was able to continue. Talking to some riders afterward they said the sound was like bones breaking.  Also talking to Kevin Murray he said he ran over me, which explains the 6-7 mark on my ass.
